“Our mission is to provide learning opportunities for the faith development of individuals and skills for leadership within congregations, in an informal, noncredit, yet challenging, informative and inspirational environment.”
The Faith Builders Academy of the Southwestern Minnesota Synod offers lay people special opportunities to deepen their faith, expand their learning of the Bible and the work and worship of the church, to enhance knowledge and skills for service and leadership in local congregations. Lay church members may attend a variety of courses offered by skilled teachers and/or they may choose to enroll in the certificate program of the Academy.

Core Courses:
Fall 2011 - Old Testament - CANCELLED
PRESENTER: Prof. Richard Bowman
WHERE: Shalom Hill Farm
WHEN: February 24 - 25, 6pm Friday – 3pm Saturday
COST: $80 per person (minimum 8 participants)
Prof. Richard Bowman (Augustana College) will provide an overview of the Old Testament scriptures. This course will equip participants with broader understanding in personal faith development and in leading Bible studies and preaching.
