Rev. Larry Strenge
Pastor Larry Strenge received his college degree in business administration (and game room) from Augustana College in Sioux Falls, SD. After graduation Larry became a trader for Cargill, Inc. and later owned a commodity brokerage office in Blue Earth, Mn. It was at this time that he met his wife, Elizabeth, who was a teacher in Blue Earth but also a member of Trinity Lutheran.
In their first year of marriage they went to work for Lutheran Social Services in the U.S. Virgin Islands where they served at the Queen Louise Home for Children, a home for abused, abandoned, and neglected children. They worked for 18 months as cottage parents where they cared for 9-11 children between the ages of 3-12. During this time they both felt a call to ordained ministry and entered and completed their Master of Divinity degrees as Luther Seminary, St Paul, MN. Both have served as pastors in the SW MN Synod for their entire ministry.
Larry and Elizabeth have two grown sons, Daniel and Nathan. They reside in the country north of Sartell, MN. Larry enjoys running, swimming in the Mississippi River (see picture), biking, golfing, and spending time with family and friends. On other occasions you can find Larry having fun playing Martin Luther (see bio picture).
